Circuit Provisioning Project Manager

Position Summary:

A Circuit Provisioning Project Manager is responsible for the implementation of circuit orders after an order is placed until the circuit is ready for handoff into our NOC for final turn up.

This position works closely with Pavlov Media Engineering, Logistics, NOC, and Field Operations staff as a facilitator throughout the deployment. Circuit implementation projects generally consist of circuit orders placed with Telco, Cable, or dark fiber providers. Pavlov Media installs Internet circuits nationwide including transport and transit connections to properties.

Primary Responsibilities:

Leadership

  • Operate as the primary point of contact for the circuit vendors throughout the installation process
  • Act as a liaison between vendors, engineers, NOC, property staff, and contractors as needed

Customer Service

  • Effectively communicate via phone, cell phone, text message, and email to Sub-Contractors, Pavlov Media Supervisors/Executives, Customers, and Circuit Vendors.

Project Management

  • Maintain accuracy of project status within pipeline
  • Manage the circuit delivery cycle to include adherence to critical dates, acceptance testing, escalations, and internal customer communications
  • Schedule and coordinate site visits if needed
  • Answer inbound calls from vendors seeking order provisioning information
  • Schedule and coordinate all project kickoff meetings with stakeholders
  • Generate, review, and approve purchase orders
  • Generate standardized project documents required to communicate progress both internally and externally
  • Prepare status reports, update financial reporting tools, and inform all stakeholders of project progress during the deployment
  • Interface with Pavlov Media legal on items such as Right of Entry or easement issues
  • Generate, track, and control “Change Orders” via standardized forms and reporting methods
  • Hold Project Closing Meetings including handoff of circuit into NOC for final provisioning and turn up

Technical Ability

  • Capture all project deliverables in project management software
  • Produce project schedules and Gantt charts
  • Document order statuses, escalation updates, IP’s and demark info
  • Obtain relevant circuit information for handoff into final provisioning in our NOC at turn up time

Experience Requirements and Positives:

  • Experience working with telecom vendors implementing circuit / bandwidth orders
  • Understanding of basic telecommunication circuit types
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Minimum of 4 years college education or equivalent work experience
  • Desired Majors include: Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Engineering, Accounting, Finance or Human Resources
  • Formal Project Management Experience/Training: recorded and demonstrable work using PERT, Critical Path, or LEAN project methodology to achieve deliverables in a defined project structure
  • PMP Certification: “Project Management Professional” certification provided by the Project Management Institute – possession or desire to achieve this certification a plus
  • Experience with: MS Project Professional, MS Word, MS Excel, MS CRM, MS Visio, MS Outlook
  • Ability to travel required
