Position Summary:

A Project Manager is responsible for the coordination, management, and execution of a sold Pavlov Media solution. This position works closely with Pavlov Media Engineering, Warehouse, NOC, and Field Operations staff as a facilitator throughout the deployment. Pavlov Media Projects consist of installing infrastructure required to support video (television via satellite) and data (Internet connectivity via Fiber, Ethernet or Wireless) services at new and existing properties.

The Project Manager coordinates internal and external resources after receiving an official Project Handoff; each deployment must meet a specific set of criteria which the Project Manager must audit to ensure completeness and accuracy of the project prior to initiation. Financial data, timelines, and equipment considerations are the analyzed by the Project Manager against a set of standards to ensure that all components required to execute a successful project are accounted for.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review standardized project hand-off documents such as the ROI, Sales to Project Management Handoff, Letters of Intent, Contracts, Agreements, or any other documentation pertinent to executing a project
  • Work with other departments to ensure that the project can be successfully deployed by making sure that documentation from those departments is complete and accurate
  • Schedule and coordinate all Project Kickoff meetings with stakeholders (Sales, Engineering, NOC, warehouse, Field Ops)
  • Generate standardized project documents required to communicate progress both internally and externally as well receive approval from clients
  • Review invoices and pay requests, ensuring that the amount requested for payment is commensurate with the percentage of completion
  • Generate the financial budget (Baseline) for any given project and be able to identify/justify this financial metric with the use of Engineering specifications and work-ups
  • Report, record, and document any and all parameters, metrics, or specifies of each project
  • Prepare status reports, update financial reporting tools, and inform all sponsors/stakeholders of project progress during the deployment
  • Generate, track, and control “Change Orders” via the standardized forms and reporting methods
  • Generate contractor specific forms and required documentation
  • Communicate and coordinate the efforts and actions of the sub-contractor in accordance with the project scope and mission
  • Communicate and coordinate directly with ownership and property managers
  • Generate all necessary documentation required to communicate the outcome of the project both internally and externally
  • Communicate summarization of project achievements to the sponsorship/stakeholders involved
  • Hold a Project Closing Meeting to ensure understanding and continuity of the project deliverables (as-builts, manifests, etc.) within each support department (NOC, Field Ops) responsible for the property after closing the project

COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Report progress via formal and informal channels; maintain up-to-date status on all active and closed projects
  • Utilize standardized documents, forms, processes, and procedures to ensure that all pertinent progress is communicated internally and externally
  • Communicate via phone, cell phone, text message, and email to Sub-Contractors, Pavlov Media Supervisors/Executives, and interested property personnel or sponsors as needed on a daily basis
  • “After hours” and weekend communication can be expected
  • Professional communication skills are critical in this position, especially for any and all external communications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Minimum of 4 years college education or equivalent work experience
  • Desired Majors include: Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Engineering, Accounting, Finance or Human Resources

EXPERIENCE/PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND POSITIVES:

  • Formal Project Management Experience/Training: recorded and demonstrable work using PERT, Critical Path, or LEAN project methodology to achieve deliverables in a defined project structure
  • PMP Certification: “Project Management Professional” certification provided by the Project Management Institute – possession or desire to achieve this certification a plus
  • Experience with: MS Project Professional, MS Word, MS Excel, MS CRM, MS Visio, MS Outlook
